Supporting Young Ukrainian Cryobiologists – New Travel Grant Established

Dear friends,

We have some wonderful news to share!

A couple of months ago, our Patron, Dr. Lilia Kuleshova, established a new travel grant for young scientists (cryobiologists), Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral researchers who live and work in Ukraine.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Kuleshova for her continued support of Ukrainian scientists. Thanks to her generosity, two young women from Ukraine were able to attend the SLTB 2025 Meeting (Society for Low Temperature Biology) in Poland and present their research there. Please find their short reports below.

“I am very glad that I had the opportunity to experience the friendly, open, and unforgettable atmosphere of the conference, which is very important for me and my future work.
My participation in the SLTB 2025 conference became possible thanks to the financial support of Dr. Lilia Kuleshova, who makes great efforts to assist female scientists from Ukraine in their professional growth.
I wish Dr. Kuleshova every success in this noble endeavor.”

A pleasant surprise for me was that my poster won second place in the competition.
I would like to once again express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Lilia Kuleshova for supporting Ukrainian scientists and for enabling my participation. Thank you so much!”
