The Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine, founded in 1972, is the only institution in the world that brings together highly qualified specialists in biology, physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, pharmacology, and medicine, whose efforts and thoughts are aimed at studying the effects of low temperatures on biological objects of different levels of organization, developing approaches to protect them from the influence of cold, and implementing the knowledge gained in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and human medicine. Over 50 years of accumulated theoretical and practical knowledge enables the institute to organize and conduct a course of lectures on the theoretical foundations of low-temperature biology and medicine. Funds raised under this project will be used to support course instructors, the methodological and technical organization of distance learning, and publishing a textbook on cryobiology.
